Charities of the year 2016

It is with great pleasure that we can announce our two charities of the year for 2016-2017. After much deliberation and a company-wide vote, we have landed on two fantastic and well deserving charities; Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity and the Alzheimer’s Society.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity

Great Ormond Street Hospital is one of the world’s leading children’s hospital, pioneering new ways to treat some of the most complex childhood illnesses. With over 255,000 sick children visiting the hospital every year, Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises money so that the hospital can continue to provide world class care.
The hospital is currently undergoing some major renovation work to improve the condition of some of the oldest wards and allow for even more children to be treated in the future. The aim is the raise over £100 million this year, which is why they need help from companies like us.

Alzheimer’s Society

The Alzheimer’s Society are the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity for people living with dementia. They believe that life doesn’t end when a person is diagnosed, and work to keep people with the condition connected with their lives and the people that matter.
There are currently 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, and this number will continue to rise until a cure is found. The money raised for the Alzheimer’s Society goes towards supporting those people with the condition and vital research into finding a cure.

We like a challenge!

Last year we took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Candlelighter’s and the Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal, we received lots of support and raised a total of £1,689.

Our challenge for this year has yet to be decided but we want to go bigger and better and raise even more money. Our target for this year is to raise £2,000 – If you would like to support us please email or visit our Justgiving page.
