Our Ugo Leg Bags and Ugo 2L Drainage Bags have been designed to fit together to achieve a secure, effective link drainage connection. This is ideal for patients who require additional capacity for overnight drainage.
Kevin Taylor is a patient who uses our Ugo 2L Drainage Bags. He says “The Ugo 2L Drainage Bags are very good. They have a large capacity for overnight drainage, there’s no kinking in the tubes and they’re easy to connect. They are very secure once connected and the non-return valve to prevent urine going back up the drainage tube is a very good idea. A lot of other products I have tried don’t have this built in which can result in accidents.”
Want to know how to attach and remove the Ugo 2L Drainage Bag from a link drainage connection? Instructions can be viewed in our comprehensive patient and carer user guide by clicking here.
We provide a range of Ugo 2L Drainage Bags – sterile and non-sterile. If the Ugo 2L Drainage Bag is sterile, it can be attached directly to the catheter for continuous drainage. However, if the Ugo 2L Drainage Bag is non-sterile, it should be connected via the purpose-measured, soft silicone outlet tubing of the Ugo Leg Bag. This maintains a closed link drainage system, which reduces the risk of acquiring a catheter associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI).
Our Ugo Stand with Dignity helps to further prevent the risk of infection. It’s designed to ensure the tap of the Ugo 2L Drainage Bag doesn’t touch the ground. It’s important to always use a new Ugo 2L Drainage Bag each night. You should never washout and reconnect a used urine bag under any circumstances.
